A Fair of Our Own

Last year, when the Mississippi state fair was in town, as it is each October, I started this blog post. Yeah, completely forgot about this one.

You see, I'm not a huge fan of the fair. Something about crowds or germs or filth or a lot of food smells mixing or rides that make me motion sick. But enough about cross-country trips with my family growing up!

We decided to take the kids to something simple, but very fun for them, and have a similar effect. We took them to a local furniture store that has a carousel inside of it. The rides cost $1, so you can get a lot of mileage out of a ten dollar bill.

After riding quite a few times, we went for ice cream. What a fun, family night!
